Savannah Monitor (Varanus exanthematicus)

Adult Size: Adults will grow and  range from 2.5- 3 feet. Savannah Monitor's rarely exceed this range. If they do however, it will get no larger than 3.5 feet.

Range: This specific monitor comes from the grasslands of central Arfica.
Or the Savannah's.

Habitat: Savannah Monitors can be found in many places such as burrows in the ground, bushes and even tree's. Their sharp talon like  claws  help them climb and grasp trees providing perfect camoflauge for the monitor.

Feeding: In a captive environment Monitor's usually eat a strict mammel diet. Health issues effect the monitor because of improper diet and lack of proper basking tempatures. In the wild they typically eat insects, aracnids, smaller lizards, snakes, and animal remains.
